Art Deco Three Stone Ring / Blue Zircon Three stone ring

Blue zircon became highly popular in the Art Deco period (1920s–1930s) because of its striking "starlite" brilliance, vibrant and geometric color palette, and ability to serve as an accessible alternative to diamonds, sapphires, and blue diamonds in intricate platinum and white gold settings.

Zircon is naturally doubly refractive, meaning it splits light into two rays. This gives it incredible "fire" and sparkle that surpasses even diamonds and sapphires in dispersing multi-colored flashes.

Because of their extraordinary natural sparkle, zircons historically served as diamond simulants. The two (2) side stones are clear zircons, the stone in the centre is a blue zircon.

This ring features beautiful details in the shoulders of the gold band. The multigrain border encases a small forget-me-not flower in the centre.

The ring is hallmarked on the inside of the shank showing metal purity and manufacturer's trademark. The ring is stamped 10K and an A above a W. No information has been found on the manufacturer.

The stones are in great condition and there are no chips or nicks.
