Vintage Sapphire Floral Ring / 1970s Floral with Natural Blue Sapphires

This vintage ring is set with stunning natural blue sapphires. The sapphires are the centre of the flower and the stem of the flower is the shank of the ring. There is so much detail on this ring.

In ancient Greece and Rome, kings and queens were convinced that blue sapphires protected their owners from envy and harm. Sapphires have been prized as great gemstones since 800BC. Rulers of ancient Persia believed the sky was painted blue by the reflection of sapphire stones.

The colour of these sapphires will make you understand why this stone has been cherished by royalty and the elite wealthy for centuries. The blue is just stunning.

Each sapphire measures 3mm round and total estimated sapphire weight is 0.45 cts. The sapphires are all natural and original to the ring.

The ring is stamped for metal purity and the manufacturer's trademark on the inside of the shank. It is marked 10K GS. The GS is the manufacturer's trademark, I have not been able to find out information on the manufacturer.

The gold is yellow gold.
