Copper Chrysanthemum Make-Up Compact / New Light Compact

The chrysanthemum is a beautiful flower, and it has come to represent nobility, in Japan it represents the Imperial Royal Family and is even found on the Imperial Seal. Chrysanthemum is the symbol of a long and happy life. As part of this superstition, chrysanthemum wine is drunk in China on the ninth day of the ninth month for peace, health and old age. This late blooming flower is still prime and in its glory long after all the other blooms have faded away.

This lovely compact is a new, vintage compact that was never used. And it will see that your beauty never fades away. It will make sure that you are party ready with a powder puff and a place for a compact lipstick.

The compact is made from the company New Light. I haven't found much information on the manufacturer.

The lid features deep engravings and brass accents. There are some scratches on the lid, but given its age and it's new condition it is in remarkable shape.

The interior of the compact has an intact mirror, and the powder compartment is new and has never held any cosmetics. The powder fluffer is still new! The lipstick compartment is empty, as the lipstick would have been sold separately for a lady to choose her specific shade of colour.

The compact's compartments snap closed with a satisfying click so you know the contents are secure. The compact is made out of stainless steel with brass accents.
