In ancient times, people believed that peridot was brought to our world by a sun’s explosion—and they weren’t far off. Some peridot crystals have been found in rare pallasite meteorites that are 4.5 billion years old.
Legends have connected this gemstone to the sun, believing that it brought energy and happiness to the owner.
This lovely ring is set with an oval Peridot measuring 6mm x 4mm and is estimated to weigh 0.50 cts. The sides of the centre stone have two (2) diamonds on either side. All gemstones are natural and earth mined stones and are original to the ring.
The ring has a very elegant look, with a swooping by-pass setting that has the gems embraced by a ribbon of yellow gold.
The ring is stamped for metal purity and manufacturer's trademark. It is stamped 10K J(Triangle)L. I have not found any information on the manufacturer.
