This vintage snake ring features bright red eyes and you will find yourself gazing into them while he coils around your finger. The eyes are synthetic rubies in a bright red hue. The rubies measure 2mm round and are estimated to weight a total of 0.10 cts.
The snake held a variety of meanings in ancient cultures. Despite being a venomous creature, the serpent was a symbol of protection and healing in Greek mythology. Asclepius, the Greek god of healing, sometimes appeared to his patients in the form of a snake. The snake symbol enjoyed a massive resurgence in popularity during the Victorian era (1837-1901).
