Onyx and Diamond Ring / Onyx Pinky Ring

The ring is made in 10K yellow gold and has a gold border surrounding the black onyx. The ring has a beautiful patterned border that adds to the beauty. 

The name Onyx comes from the Greek word which means nail of a finger or claw. Legend says that one day while Venus was sleeping Eros/Cupid cut her fingernails and left the clippings scattered on the ground. Because no part of a heavenly body can die, the gods turned them into stone which later became known as onyx.

The ring is hallmarked on the inside of the shank and is marked 10K PSCO. There is also a light engraving what is called a jeweller's mark - it is a light engraving of R-1847. This is often called a jeweller's mark and is usually made when it is made and the number would be attributed to a goldsmith.

The diamond is natural earth mined and is estimated to weigh 0.01 cts.
