Rock Crystal Ring set in tri-colour gold / Black Hills Gold Ring

Rock Crystal is widely regarded in crystal traditions as a stone of clarity, purification, and energy amplification, and it is traditionally associated with purity and energy. It is completely transparent or ice-like (derived from the Greek word krustallos, meaning ice). Historically, it has been used as an accessible, brilliant alternative to diamonds.

The setting of this ring is so detailed. It features three colours of gold, a warm buttery yellow, a green-gold for the grape leaves, and finally a rose gold for the grapes on the shoulders of the ring.

The stone is set securely in a bezel setting and has a lovely vintage look. The rock crystal does show a bit of abrasion but it's not noticeable when worn. 

The inside of the ring is marked for metal purity and the manufacturer's trademark. There is an L inside two circles which is the manufacturer's trademark for Landstrom's. Marked with an "L" or a logo featuring three circles (Landstrom's is the original manufacturer founded in 1878). The manufacturer Black Hills Gold. Black Hills Gold jewelry is a traditional, multi-toned style of jewelry handcrafted exclusively in the Black Hills region of South Dakota, USA.

This ring has the signature motif that is typical of Black Hills Gold.  French goldsmith Henri LeBeau became lost and starved in the wilderness, then dreamed of a vineyard before finding wild grapes and creeks that saved his life. He crafted "good luck" grapevine jewelry to honor his survival.

The stone measures 12mm x 10mm and is an oval. The ring is estimated to be circa 1945

The ring is a not perfectly round, but it's not noticeable when worn.
