Onyx and Diamond Tie Pin or Stick Pin / Old European Cut Diamond and Onyx Stick Pin / Art Deco Tie Pin

A tie pin (or tiepin, also known as a stick pin / stickpin) is a neckwear -controlling device, originally worn by wealthy English gentlemen to secure the folds of their cravats. They were first popularized at the beginning of the 19th century.

This Art Deco Onyx and Diamond Stick pin was made for a gentlemen, but it will look beautiful as fashioned on a coat or on a blazer or even converted into a ring. The Old European Cut Diamond in the center of the onyx is fiery and shines in the light.

The diamond measures 2 mm round and is estimated to weigh 0.05 cts.

The onyx measures 10 x 5 mm. The onyx is unscratched and the stick pin is in excellent condition given it's age.

The frame is engraved and is made out of 14K white gold. The stick pin has been hallmarked and is marked on the pin itself. The stick pin is engraved for both the metal purity and the manufacturer's trademark: 14K and an up-side-down T. I have not been able to find out any information on the manufacturer.

The pin itself is 2.5 inches in length, and the pin is very sharp and it won't snag silk.
