Art Deco Old European Cut Engagement Ring / 18K White Gold Deco Engagement Ring / Old European Diamond Solitaire Ring

$875.00
UGC RIN-21-0091

An old European cut diamond is a round diamond primarily cut between 1890-1930. They were especially common during the Art Deco period.

These antique diamonds were one of the predecessors to the modern round brilliant cut diamond, which is now the most popular diamond shape. Antique Old European diamonds were cut for carat weight and were cut with candlelight in mind. They have 58 facets; modern round cut diamonds have 57-58 facets depending on whether or not they have a culet.

These antique diamonds have a special charm because diamond cutters had to rely on their eyes rather than modern technology to hand-cut them, making each stone unique.

This beautiful engagement ring is perfect for someone who wants an antique engagement ring which stood the test of time. The angular design of the Art Deco period, has influenced the design of this ring, and it is just at home in the modern world as it was in the 1930s.
