Art Deco Magnesite Ring / Blue Magnesite Art Deco Silver Ring

This Art Deco ring is set with a lovely blue opaque jasper stone and the shoulders are so beautifully crafted with floral and leaves that hold the stone up.

The stone itself is a dyed magnesite stone. Magnesite was discovered in 1808, and was named for its composition of mostly magnesium. It is commonly found in white but because it is a blank canvas, it can be dyed in different colours.

Magnesite is known for its calming properties, helping to improve creative visualization and imagination. It is also commonly believed to bring deep peace and silent relaxation during meditation, stimulate passion in the heart and help strengthen bones and teeth.

This ring is a beautiful vintage ring which you can even see based on the hallmark that is stamped on the inside of the ring.

The ring is stamped SILVER. Contemporary rings would be stamped 925.

The stone does rattle a bit in the setting, but it is not going to fall out as there are eight (8) prongs that hold it.

The stone measures 13mm x 9mm.
