This beautiful Art Deco ring brings you back to an era of Glamour and Ritz. Nestled into the centre of this fabulous ring is a natural white pearl, which gives a classic ring a bit of interest and intrigue.
The ring is made in 10K yellow gold and has a gold border surrounding the black onyx. The ring is authentic to the period and is not a modern remake.
The name Onyx comes from the Greek word which means nail of a finger or claw. Legend says that one day while Venus was sleeping Eros/Cupid cut her fingernails and left the clippings scattered on the ground. Because no part of a heavenly body can die, the gods turned them into stone which later became known as onyx.
The gold has a lovely design and it sits elegantly on the finger. It has The geometric lines on the shoulders that mirror the skyscrapers of the Art Deco period.
The ring is hallmarked on the inside of the shank and is marked 10K. The makers hallmark is a crown inside a C. It is very lightly marked and may have worn over time. The manufacturer is Caron Bros of Montreal Canada.
