This vintage Art Deco Band is quite the illusion! It appears to be set with five small diamonds however one you take a good look there is only one (1) natural diamond set in the centre of the band.
An illusion setting either enhances the perceived size of the diamond within a setting or make it appear as if there is a diamond set. Most illusion set engagement rings present a small diamond surrounded by patterned precious metal. As a result, the setting appears larger from a distance.
This ring is so expertly crafted. This vintage diamond wedding ring is just a sweet Art Deco ring. Art Deco was an international decorative style than ran from 1919 to 1939. And I suspect that this ring was made in 1930s - 1940s, which would also co-inside with the Great Depression.
The diamond is natural and earth mined. The diamond is a round cut single cut diamond and is estimated to weigh 0.02 cts.
The top of the ring is set in white gold, and the shank of the ring is made out of yellow gold. The inside of the band is stamped for metal purity. It is stamped 10K. One the other side of the shank is a heart and the initials BM.
The bottom of the shank is a bit thinner, but it has been priced accordingly.
