Antique Diamond Wedding Band / Art Deco Diamond Wedding Ring / Two Tone Gold and Diamond Wedding Ring
This beautiful Art Deco wedding band is perfect as a standalone ring or paired with your vintage engagement ring. The top of the ring has four (4) small diamonds set in an illusion setting to make it appear that the top of the ring is set with more.
After the end of the war, jewellery production began to ramp up again without restrictions and in 1947, De Beers ran the infamous ‘a diamond is forever’ campaign. Almost overnight, diamonds became the engagement ring gemstone with modestly-sized diamonds being presented in white gold illusion settings in order to make them appear larger.
Diamonds were scarce during the war years and engagement rings from this era often featured the diamonds which they could find or older diamonds taken from older pieces.
The top of this ring where the diamonds are set is white gold, and the shank is made out of yellow gold. The ring is not hallmarked but tests as 14K Gold.
