This stunning ring is the perfect band to pair with your antique engagement ring or just to wear on its own. The top is an illusion setting that has three (3) small diamonds.
After the end of the war, jewellery production began to ramp up again without restrictions and in 1947, De Beers ran the infamous ‘a diamond is forever’ campaign. Almost overnight, diamonds became the engagement ring gemstone with modestly-sized diamonds being presented in white gold illusion settings in order to make them appear larger. Diamonds were scarce during the war years and engagement rings from this era often featured the diamonds which they could find or older diamonds taken from older pieces.
The band uses both white and yellow gold, and the ring is marked for metal purity and manufacturer's trademark. The ring is stamped 14K R OF FORTUNE. I have not been able to find out any information on the manufacturer.
I love the floral top of the white gold, and how it incorporates the natural diamonds into the design.
