Engraved patterned band / 10K Yellow Gold band

This patterned band is a wonderful vintage ring. The deep diamond engraved engravings gives a bright pattern against the mat brushed yellow gold.

The pattern is of an oval pattern and then it has moon like crescents. 

The inside of the ring is stamped with the manufacturer's trademark and metal purity. The ring is stamped RD 10K

Engraved and patterned gold bands have experienced several peaks in popularity throughout history, most notably during the 17th-century Renaissance (posy rings), the Victorian era (1837–1901), and the early 20th century (1910s–1960s, specifically Orange Blossom bands). While engraved rings existed in ancient Rome, these periods define the major popularity of intricate designs on wedding bands. 

This is a vintage version of bands that were popular in the Art Deco era circa 1920s and 1930s. These bands often featuring symmetrical, detailed work that added interest.
