Baguette Diamond Band / Wedding Band / Semi-Eternity Ring
Baguette diamonds are elongated, rectangular, or tapered step-cut stones that emerged as a staple of fine jewelry during the Art Deco era of the 1920s. Named after the French word for "rod" or "stick," they are prized for their clean lines, architectural geometry, and "quiet elegance". Unlike brilliant-cut diamonds, which prioritize maximum sparkle, baguettes offer a subtle, mirror-like reflection often described as a "hall of mirrors" effect.
Introduced around 1912 by jewelers like Cartier, the baguette cut became iconic in the 1920s and 1930s. They mirrored the artistic, architectural, and geometric, and symmetrical aesthetic of the Art Deco movement, providing a stark contrast to the traditional round brilliant cuts.
While many believe they are named after French bread due to their similar long, thin shape, others note the term stems from the French word bague (meaning "ring"), with baguette translating to "little ring" or "little jewel"
Let this ring be your little jewel as it is set with three (3) stations of baguette diamonds, separated with four (4) illusion set round diamonds. This ring would make the perfect pair to your engagement ring, or a right hand ring to add sparkle and shine.
All diamonds are natural earth-mined diamonds. The estimated diamond carat weight is 0.35-0.40 cts.
The ring is 2.5mm wide and is a minimal band that would look great in a ring stack. It is a semi-eternity band, meaning that the diamonds are just limited to the top. The bottom shank is made out of yellow gold.
The ring is laser engraved on the inside of the shank, it is marked with the manufacturer's trademark and the metal purity. The ring in engraved 10K and J (trademark symbol). I have not found any information on the manufacturer.
