This beautiful ring is set with a stunning white cultured pearl and surrounded by 6 (six) small diamonds.

Pearls have long been coveted for their beauty and allure and have been linked to the Beautiful Goddess Diana, a deity of the forests, the moon and of young women. Pearls are seen as an emblem of purity, innocence and peace and were traditionally given to young brides or of young women who have come of age. The legends surrounding the origin of pearls have no doubt added to their desirability. Pearls were once thought to rise from the seabed when the oysters raised to the surface to receive the rain that fell from the sky.

This ring has wonderful Ukrainian hallmarks. In one panel on the underside of the shank is marked ":6K HO" and in the other panel "K (Trident) 585" The Trident or ”tryzub” is the government inspection hallmark of Ukraine. The Trident is found on the coat of arms of Ukraine. Officially referred to as the Princely State Symbol of Volodymyr the Great, or, colloquially, the tryzub, the insignia derives from the seal-trident of Volodymyr, the Grand Prince of Kyiv.

Most hallmarks are found on the inside of the shank, but these hallmarks are found on the bottom of the shank. This is common of French or Russian designs.

The pearl is a beautiful white body color with a bit of pink. The luster is unblemished and has a silver blue undertone. What a wonderful hallmark to find on a Pearl ring, it's almost as if the King of the Seas has put it's seal of approval on this ring.
