After the end of the war, jewelry production began to ramp up again without restrictions and in 1947, De Beers ran the infamous ‘a diamond is forever’ campaign. Almost overnight, diamonds becoming the popular gemstone with modestly-sized diamonds being presented in white gold settings in order to make them appear larger.
This ring features a brilliant cut diamond set in a white gold. The band is made out of yellow gold. There are two additional single cut diamonds on the side.
The center stone measures 3.5mm round, and the estimated total diamond weight of the ring is 0.16 cts. The natural is earth mined, and there are natural inclusions in the diamond to help prove that it is a natural diamond.
The bridge of the band is so stunning where you see the fine craftsmanship. The setting is so beautiful with a strong box like setting for the feature diamond, making it look much larger than it really is.
This ring is hallmarked. It is stamped 14K - 18K which is typical of the time period. The white gold is 14K White Gold. The gold in the shank is 18K yellow gold.
