Ruby and Diamond Ring / July Birthstone Ring / Ruby Birthstone Band

Rubies have been imbued with rich legend and lore throughout history, symbolizing a variety of concepts across different cultures. They are often associated with protection, passion, and power, and have been used as talismans, symbols of royalty, and even believed to possess healing properties. 

This band brings out the passion in me, as the ring is just stunning. I love how the diamonds are set, as they appear to set in a lovely floral setting. 

The ring is set with three (3) natural red rubies and two (2) natural diamonds set in an illusion setting that makes the diamonds appear larger than they are.

Each ruby measures 2mm round and are estimated to weigh 0.05 cts each. They are set securely in 10K yellow gold and the prongs are very secure. Total carat weight for the natural red rubies are 0.15 cts.

The diamonds are natural diamonds and are estimated to weigh 0.02 cts total. The floral setting of the diamonds add a touch of romance to the ring.

The ring is hallmarked for metal purity and manufacturer's trademark. The ring is stamped 10K and ET in a C. The ET in a C indicates the manufacturer's trademark and I was not able to find any information on them. 

The ring is made out of yellow gold and is 10K solid gold.

In Medieval Europe rubies were thought to bestow divine favour, protect against danger, and even foretell impending doom. I can't speak about this ring's protection against danger, however you might feel doom if it sells out. So don't let that happen to you!
