Vintage Garnet and Opal Ring / Natural White Opal and Garnets / October Birthstone

This vintage ringis set with a round opal ring surrounded by garnets. The ancient Greeks believed opals gave their owners the gift of prophecy and guarded them from disease.

Europeans have long considered the gem a symbol of hope, purity, and truth. Photos just don't do this opal justice, as there is a play of colour that is exhibited by this ring. And this ring is further highligted by the red garnet stones surrounding the opal like an embrace.

The ring is hallmarked for metal purity and maker's mark. On the inside of the shank it is hallmarked FESTIVAL 14K I have not found out any information on the manufacturer, but this ring is going to be a party on your finger
