Vintage Turquoise Ring / Gold and Blue Turquoise Ring / Natural Un-Dyed Blue Turquoise

Turquoise has a rich history throughout millennia and across a variety of cultures. The earliest uses were beads found in Iraq, dating back to 5000 BCE.

Turquoise gemstones were found in jewelry in Egyptian tombs, dating back to 3000 BCE. Legends state that the blue-green stone could protect the wearer, so it was often used in shields, weapons, and bridles for warriors going to battle.

It was also thought to instill tranquility and promote wisdom. Some have even believed it to have the power of immortality. This ring may install tranquility, but if you don't pick this ring up and miss out, you might regret it.

This stone is a natural, undyed blue turquoise stone. The robin's egg blue is so serene and calming.

The shoulders of the ring has a sweet and romantic bow effect that tapers down the shoulders to the shank.

The stone is set securely and it is a very comfortable ring to wear. The ring is hallmarked on the inside of the shank. It is marked 10K GSF. I have not found any information on the manufacturer but they created a well crafted ring.

The turquoise measures 18 x 14 mm. The turquoise is natural and un-dyed.
